IT solutions provider Perfekt has won a three-year contract with Western Australia Health Support Services (HSS) for support and maintenance of Hitachi services.
The Melbourne-headquartered company will be tasked with supplying and maintaining Hitachi hardware and software as part of a $4.8 million deal.
According to a tender, launched by the WA Department of Finance, the HSS is looking to consolidate its existing support and maintenance services for Hitachi hardware and associated software, while adding and deleting hardware support and maintenance as required.
The body also claimed it required increased flexibility to improve the use of Hitachi hardware and software used at two Fujitsu data centres and two hospitals in Perth.
The contract, which can be extended for a further two years, may also see HSS procure additional Hitachi-compatible products.
Founded in 2002, Perfekt offers a number of solutions across servers and storage, data back-up, disaster recovery, plus managed services with its own network and security operations centres.
The provider is an Elite Partner of Hitachi and has worked with the vendor for the past 18 years. Having opened an office in Perth a decade ago, Perfekt has also supplied solutions to WA Health for the past four years, saying that the new contract was a continuation of previous solutions and service provided.
