Cirrus Networks, Net Communications, and SecureWorx have been named as just a few of the latest inductees to the Federal Government’s cloud services procurement panel.

Australian Government CTO, John Sheridan, announced the new list of 12 additional suppliers to the whole-of-government procurement panel arrangement on 2 February.

The new providers join more than 100 other providers that have already been granted a presence on the panel, including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Dell Australia.

The latest additions to the panel come just days after Sheridan announced 20 new panellists on 25 January, including Nextgen Connect, Vault Systems, and Diaxiom.

Altogether, the Government’s cloud services panel now claims 140 suppliers, with Avanade Australia, CA Technologies, Bulletproof, Cisco Systems Australia, Data#3, iiNet, IBM Australia, and Logicalis Australia included on the list.

Sheridan said that all new panellists will soon be submitting services for inclusion on the Cloud Services Panel Service Catalogue, with these services to be made available for agencies to procure via the government’s ICT Procurement Portal.

The initial term of the procurement arrangement expires on 31 March 2017 with options to extend for another four years. The panel represents a non-mandatory procurement avenue for government entities.

The panel covers a range of service models, which includes Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Specialist Cloud Services (SCS).
