Networking security vendor Infoblox has appointed Kenneth Cartwright as head of channels for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Cartwright, who was previously FireEye channel management executive, will be based in Sydney with the responsibility for executing Infoblox’s channel go-to-market strategy across both countries, to support an increasing number of businesses that are adopting the company’s network control services.

“Infoblox is committed to working with our ANZ partners and customers in the best possible way to empower them to have advanced network control and protection without impacting their day-to-day operations,” Cartwright said.

In December 2018, Infoblox president and CEO Jesper Andersen told ARN that it was "interested in increasing" its investment in Australia and New Zealand.

At the time, the Australian operation, from which New Zealand is also managed, had nine people and claimed some of the "top banks" as its customers.

Cartwright brings 24 years of experience in the channel having worked for Tech Data's Azlan, Brocade, Ruckus Wireless and Aerohive Networks. While at FireEye he managed the company’s partners across Australia.

“A/NZ is an important market for Infoblox as we continue to extend our leading position in DDI and secure cloud-managed network services,” said Hwa Cheong Wong, vice president of sales for Infoblox in Asia Pacific and Japan. “Kenneth’s demonstrated leadership, sales and channel skills naturally align with Infoblox’s commitment to help businesses in ANZ safeguard their networks, data and applications.”

The vendor works with channel partners and has two distributors locally: Arrow ECS ANZ and Orca Tech, alongside a host of technology alliance partners.
