The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has published a request for tender (RFT) seeking for suppliers for the provision of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and related services.
The RFT was published on 21 August and covers the inclusion on the DTA's Software Licensing and Services (SLS) panel, established earlier in the year.
The purpose of this RFT is to identify one or more sellers to be appointed to the panel for the provision of COTS software and associated services to buyers on and as required and non‑exclusive basis, the approach to market documents stated.
The DTA has not set a maximum number of panellists that will be included on this Category 2 Panel - the department released a Request for Information for this category in June.
"Now, the DTA is looking for providers to come on board. We hope to appoint multiple sellers to the new category," the department said in a statement.
Providers have until 20 September 2018 to lodge their tenders with negotiations to be completed during December.
In March, Data#3 was named as the sole provider of Microsoft licensing solutions on the Australian Government’s new whole-of-government software procurement arrangement.
The win meant Data#3 once again retained its coveted position as the sole whole-of-government Microsoft licensing provider under the new panel.
Data#3 held the position as sole provider on the pre-existing whole-of-government Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) Deliverables procurement panel, which is being replaced by the new panel under the DTA.
The DTA put a call out on 17 July to potential suppliers to provide feedback on establishing a whole-of-government software licensing and services procurement (SLS) panel.
