Signs up 27 new retail service providers in five months

Managed IT, cloud and communications provider, Inabox Group, has seen a surge in new resellers, signing up 27 new retail service providers (RSPs) in the past five months – a record tally for the company.

The new RSPs have come on board largely thanks to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX)-listed company’s Telcoinabox business, which lays claim to the new partner haul.

The company has put much of this milestone down to its Telstra 4G offering and its emerging range of National Broadband Network (NBN) services.

According to Inabox Group, its Telcoinabox subsidiary was among the first aggregators in Australia to launch Telstra wholesale 4G – first announced in August last year – giving its customers the ability to sell on a range of white labelled mobile plans on the telco’s network.

Additionally, strong interest in the company’s white label turnkey solution for NBN services has further driven demand, the group told investors on 27 June, with its Telcoinabox subsidiary offering service providers instant access to all 121 NBN points of interconnect.

Among the list of new RSPs to sign up as Inabox Group partners over the past five months are the FiftyUpClub, iNTTN and Commandacom.

“We’ve made some outstanding progress this year, with demand and interest in our offering at an all-time high,” Inabox CEO, Damian Kay, said. “It’s great to see the investment into our products and services is paying off as we continue to give our RSP customers a market-leading offering.

“Key within this is the provision of white labelled 4G mobile, a streamlined NBN offering, and our simple-to-configure and manage hosted voice solution, scheduled for launch shortly,” he said.

Inabox group’s new reseller tally comes just months after the company announced its acquisition of Hostworks Group from BAI Communications, in a move aimed at strengthening its cloud offering.

The $7 million purchase of the digital media solutions business saw Inabox leverage Hostworks' cloud infrastructure along with its existing relationships with key vendors, spanning AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Softlayer and Google Cloud Platform.

“The acquisition of Hostworks fits firmly with Inabox’s vision to be a leading managed communications, cloud and IT services provider for SMEs and corporates as the demand for cloud-based services continues to grow,” said Kay at the time.

Inabox Group subsequently launched its Office 365 Fast Lane product in Australia in June, in a bid to help its internet service providers (ISPs) bring Microsoft's cloud product to market.
