Alan Hyde is to vacate his role as vice president and general manager of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Australia, to be replaced by the returning Stephen Bovis.

Responsible for running the vendor's enterprise group business across the South Pacific Region, Hyde joined HPE in March 2014, following managerial roles at NEC and SAP.

During his time at HPE, Hyde has steered the vendor through it’s much publicised split from HP Inc, as well as the shedding of its Enterprise Services division to CSC and its software business to Micro Focus.

With HPE and Hyde yet to comment on the news, ARN sources confirmed the departure from the vendor's Global Partner Conference in Boston, stating, "Alan [Hyde] is leaving and [Stephen] Bovis is coming in".

Hyde will be replaced in the role with Bovis, who currently resides in Singapore as the vice president of global and enterprise sales for HPE.

Bovis brings over 15 years of in-house experience to the role, having joined the company in August 2002, before heading up the Enterprise Storage and Servers division in Australia.

As a well-known figure to the local channel, Bovis moved to Singapore in February 2009 to take up a regional role across the server business, before moving into his current position in November 2014.
