Vendor signs partnership with Xstrato CloudRecover

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), has named Xstrato CloudRecover as its specialist software value added distributor for Australia.

The move follows the vendor's recent local distribution review, where the vendor added Distribution Central alongside Dicker Data, Ingram Micro, Lynx Technologies and Sektor as its distribution partners for 2016.

As per the arrangement with Xstrato CloudRecover, the company will offer specialist Cloud delivery of HPE solutions such as storage optimiser, records and content manager, as well as VM Explorer for backup and disaster recovery.

Xstrato CloudRecover CEO, Mac Thompson, said the deal lets the company bring to market a business model that packages traditional on premise software as a Cloud service by providing monthly subscription to the Cloud hosted solution.

Thompson also said the deal cements its more than 10 years’ experience in delivering locally hosted Cloud-based backup and data management solutions.

“We were an early mover to Cloud as a service provider more than 10 years ago," he said.

"CloudRecover has more than nine petabytes under management and one of the largest private Clouds in Australia.

“This appointment as a specialist HPE software value added distributor cements our relationship with HPE and we are proud to offer the full suite of HPE software information management and governance solutions in a flexible, true Cloud-based SaaS delivery model."

UPDATED: HPE A/NZ software channel director, Anthony Nonnis, said the partnership with the specialist distributor was inked to enable partners to deliver the best outcomes for their customers.

“Enterprises in A/NZ are increasingly consuming hardware and software with subscription-based models. HPE's Managed Service Provider Program enables partners to offer solutions from HPE in a way that allows customers to address their growing need for everything-as-a-Service.

"HPE is a partner-centric organisation focused on enabling partners to deliver the best outcomes for their customers," Nonnis added.
