Tintri introduces new Cloud service provider solution

Solution aims to offer customers high performance, transparent VM-level analytics

Virtual machine aware storage company, Tintri, has launched a new Cloud service provider solution that aims for cloud service providers (CSPs) to purchase and grow with the company.

Tintri said that by leveraging its portfolio of flash-based VAS systems and value-added software, the solution allows CSPs to deliver multiple tiers of storage performance on the array defined by VM-level quality of service policies, real-time and predictive analysis and end-to-end infrastructure visibility at the VM level.

Additionally, Tintri VMstore storage can provide for multi-tenant virtualised environments and high VM density. It also integrates with multiple hypervisors including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer and OpenStack.

Tintri chief executive and chairman, Ken Klein, said, “For Cloud service providers, storage is a critical component of Cloud infrastructure, but one that has not seen the same level of automation and agility as virtualisation and network.”

“Our CSP customers use Tintri to guarantee high performance to their customers and to create tiers of storage by policy instead of using different storage platforms. Plus, they can identify upsell opportunities and address chargeback with per-VM real-time analytics. Tintri VM-aware storage was designed to provide more storage value for virtualised environments, and Cloud is a highly virtualised use case,” he added.
