Cloud provider, ITonCoud, has transitioned HR and HSE consulting specialist, The Next Group, to the Cloud.
The Next Group has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and was previously running a number of on-premise servers from three different locations.
The Next Group operations manager, Suzanne Sheidow, said it looked at the costs of upgrading its on-premise hardware and software, but the numbers simply didn’t add up.
“The overall cost of maintaining on premise did not differ enormously however, the feature set on offer was just not appropriate for our business and the increased benefits of changing to ITonCloud was a key factor in our decision,” she said.
ITonCloud will provide a complete cloud infrastructure and managed desktop services.
“Our previous IT provider had suggested that we move to Microsoft Office 365. However, it wasn’t a good fit for our business,” she said. “Moving to Office 365 would have required quite a lot of change management and employee training. That’s another reason why we selected ITonCloud. There was minimal disruption to day-to-day business and no special staff training was needed.”
The ITonCloud roll out also eliminated the need for VPNs or any other remote desktop products.
ITonCloud CEO, Andrew Tucker, the move from on premise to the Cloud was accomplished in a weekend, with little customer downtime.
