How ITonCloud helped Injury Treatment take on the Cloud

Significant upgrade costs led Injury Treatment to consider a move towards Cloud

Occupational injury management practice, Injury Treatment, was faced with significant upgrade costs in order to renew its existing infrastructure, upgrade its applications and licensing renewals.

The company has 300 users across 37 offices around Australia, and provides health consulting services to employers and insurers.

“With a fast-growing business right around the country, we simply couldn’t afford to constrain that growth with inadequate and expensive infrastructure replacement, application upgrades and license renewals,” Injury Treatment managing director, Jeremy Keane, said.

The company was previously running a number of servers from four different locations, with licensing upgrades and applications running different versions depending on which site had been upgraded.

“It was a logistical nightmare for us and an impediment to our growth strategy, and not a sustainable model,” Keane said.

The company decided to make a move towards Cloud services using ITonCloud to help their transformation, which provided hosted managed desktop services, servers, desktop applications and Microsoft licensing on a pay-per-user, per month model.

All of Injury Treatment’s staff are now on the same versions of software, with access available anytime or over high speed connections from ITonCloud’s two locally-based data centres.

“One of the primary drivers for moving to the cloud was to improve productivity without having to worry about maintaining server rooms,” he said.

“ITonCloud really stood out for a number of reasons, including a simple cost-based structure with no hidden extras and a migration plan that was very well thought out, given how dispersed our business is.

Keane said the implementation went smoothly with no disruptions or downtime to its business.

ITonCloud CEO, Andrew Tucker, ensured their migration plan was fully documented and agreed, and its fees and charges were understood upfront.

“The real value to all our customers is that their IT infrastructure just works as soon as they log in,” Tucker said.
