Security software company, Trend Micro, has joined the VCE Select Program, which enables the company to bundle its Deep Security solution with VCE’s converged and hyper-converged infrastructure systems.

Trend Micro Deep Security has received both Vblock Ready and VCE Validation Ready certifications.

The combination of VCE converged infrastructure solutions with Trend Micro Deep Security provides customers and partners with advantages that include building, securing and scaling enterprise-grade applications, such as SAP; automating the security for VDI deployments and enabling enterprise-grade scalability; and rapid deployment of secure hybrid Cloud with layered unit-level protection, unified policies and single-pane-of-glass management across private and public Clouds.

Trend Micro said, in a statement, that the expanded strategic alliance enables VCE and Trend Micro to significantly deepen their alliance and commitment to customers and partners in strengthening Cloud security.

Trend Micro Asia-Pacific director of Cloud and datacentre security, Sasha Pavlovic, said the strengthened partnership addresses organisations’ need to secure their Cloud environments built on VCE solutions.

“By joining the VCE Select Program, VCE and Trend Micro can offer customers a seamless experience securing their Cloud and datacentres, allowing them to focus on business objectives rather than infrastructure compliance and security.

“The close alliance with VCE confirms our commitment to deliver best-in-class security solutions to our customers as they are adopting our joint solution to secure their enterprise workloads,” he said.

VCE director of technology alliances, Rael Morris, claimed customers are increasingly looking for tested and validated security solutions for private and public Clouds that compliment VCE converged infrastructure solutions.

“We work with Trend Micro because of its leadership and commitment to Cloud and datacentre security and years of joint innovation with VCE, VMware, SAP, and other market leaders,” Morris indicated.
