Symantec has given some of its best performing partners accolades at its 2015 Pacific Partner Awards ceremony held in Sydney.
The awards recognise local channel partners for their commitment to driving business success and positively contributing to customers, the partner community and the vendor.
The award winners were selected based on criteria such as overall performance in revenue growth, achievement of Symantec specializations, joint marketing activities, program adoption, technical expertise and customer service excellence.
There were six partner award categories. The winners were: distributor of the year A/NZ, Ingram Micro; Australia; mid-market partner of the year, Fujitsu Australia; specialised growth partner of the year A/NZ, Intalock; services partner of the year A/NZ, Insentra; managed services provider of the year A/NZ, Datacom; and partner of the year A/NZ, Data#3.
The awards night was co- hosted by Veritas managing director pacific region, Paul Simos, and Symantec vice president channel sales Asia Pacific and Japan, Edwin Yeo.
Yeo said 2014 was a transformative year for Symantec.
“We announced our unified security and information management strategies, delivered more than 50 products, and made the decision to separate Symantec and Veritas into two standalone companies,” he said.
“As we are going through this change, our partners are critical in ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our customers and deliver on our commitments."
Simos said, “These awards are about recognising the tremendous contribution of the channel to Symantec and Veritas in this region and rewarding those partners that have delivered outstanding value to Symantec and its customers.
“We congratulate this year's winners and look forward to working more closely with them throughout the year and achieving greater success for our customers and partners.”
