Acronis’ new channel leaders settle in

Goldsmith, Coleman, and Old appointed to lead mobility, backup, and overall channel strategies

Acronis' recently-appointed channel-facing executives are settling in at the data protection company as it continues to build relations with its distributors and resellers across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Lincoln Goldsmith, Michael Coleman, and Rose Old joined the vendor in late July, each heading up a separate business segment.

Goldsmith was added to the team as mobility sales director. He is responsible for growing Acronis’ mobility portfolio in A/NZ, and as a fluent speaker of Japanese, will lead exposure in Japan.

He joins the company after a decade in enterprise sales and channel management with the likes of NetApp, CommVault, and most recently, Virident.

Michael Coleman was hired to grow the vendor’s backup solutions portfolio as sales manager for the divison.

Among his duties will be taking Acronis’ recently-launched Backup-as-a-Service solution to market. Backup-as-a-Service, based on the company’s AnyData Engine, is a new delivery model which it expects to drive profitability among value-added resellers (VARs) and managed services providers (MSPs) as a result of its localised and customisable, opex-based structure.

Old was appointed to overlook Acronis’ overall channel strategy. As channel manager, she is developing the company’s channel network, and is working to drive revenue via its partner program.

Old formerly worked for Veeam as manager for distribution and alliance, and prior to that at Ingram Micro as national vendor manager.
