Dicker Data has been appointed as a distributor of Check Point in Australia, joining incumbents Westcon-Comstor, Orca Tech and Aria Technologies, following a local supply chain change.
Effective immediately, the move sees the security vendor part ways with Arrow ECS ANZ, who will distribute the portfolio up until 3 December 2019.
With a focus on both hardware and software products, Dicker Data - recently recognised as a leading global distributor of Cisco - gains mid-market access to a security portfolio spanning IT, network and endpoint technologies, in addition to cloud, mobile and data management offerings.

“As we launch our partnership with Check Point, we’re further cementing Dicker Data’s position as the security distribution destination for the Australian IT channel.”
As reported by ARN, the distributor’s subscription revenue during FY19 increased at 90 per cent year-on-year.
“The addition of Check Point will assist us in continuing to grow our subscription revenue in Q4 and in FY20,” Dicker added.
From a Check Point perspective, the appointment will allow the vendor to reach a “broader segment” of the market in Australia, with a specific focus on mid-market and regional resellers, in addition to managed security service providers and cloud players.

Going forward, Westcon-Comstor will continue to serve the enterprise market, while Orca Tech will focus on select partner engagements and Aria Technologies on the SMB segment.
