Video management software vendor Milestone Systems has rewarded two Australian partners during its Asia Pacific awards.
The global company named PMT Security as its Partner of the Year and BGW Technologies as Distribution Parner of the Year, both for the South Pacific region.
Held during Milestone's Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) in Bali, the awards recognised PMT as the best-performing reseller partner across Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the South Pacific region.
In particular, PMT was noted for its deployment and management of Milestones’ video system for the supermarket chain Coles across Australia.
Covering 800 stores, the solution will be used for personal security, loss prevention and business data by the Coles Group and will continue rolling out across Australia over the next two years.
“With consistent open communications between PMT and Milestone, it’s a successful partnership in the truest sense as they work with ‘everything security’,” the vendor stated.
The Coles project also garnered PMT the award for Implementation of the Year South Pacific.

"PMT Security has a long and storied reputation for excellence in the Australian security industry, which is built upon a desire to always stay on top of emerging technology, work with partners to constantly improve their offering, and good old-fashioned customer service."
Meanwhile, BGW, which has worked with Milestone since 2016, was noted for being “a key distributor during 2018”, having helped deliver a major project at Sydney Airport and growing the number of Milestone Advanced Base Licenses by 133 per cent.
“Collaboration, strategic planning and partnership form a large part of strength of the relationship,” the vendor added. “BGW have shown outstanding growth and development, proving to be a key partner in the South Pacific market.”
The awards follow the appointments of two new channel managers by Milestone at the end of last year. They included Anna Schreiber, who oversees Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand, and Enea La Mantia, who handles NSW and the ACT.
