Microsoft has revamped its device sales team across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) to drive reseller and distribution growth through original equipment manufacturer (OEM) markets.

The new-look team includes Cassandra Klintfalt and Lee Edgerton as partner sales executives across distribution and reseller divisions respectively, alongside Charis Jamieson as commercial category lead and Peter Garner heading up regional commercial sales.

Spearheaded by Chris Bright - OEM director of A/NZ at Microsoft - the group aims to drive digital transformation growth through the channel on both sides of the Tasman.

“With the ongoing acceleration of digital transformation for our partners, the commercial PC market is seeing unprecedented growth,” said Bright.

“As such we’re making some changes to our team structure to ensure we can best support our customers needs. I’m excited to see our team continue to expand and help deliver exponential growth to our partners.”

Specifically, Klintfalt joins the team following 18 months as the Microsoft account manager for key corporate accounts in New Zealand.

Klintfalt started her career with Microsoft in 2015 as OEM marketing manager, where she built an extensive network of connections within the Australian reseller and distribution business.

Meanwhile, Edgerton is moving across to the team from his previous role as device marketing lead for Microsoft.

Prior to this, Edgerton was the OEM channel marketing manager, leading the marketing efforts around partner projects such as modern workplace and as-a-service initiatives.

Furthermore, Jamieson comes on-board from Lenovo, where she most recently held the position of commercial marketing director across Asia Pacific.

In the role of commercial category lead, Jamieson will set the strategy for expanding Microsoft’s device sales business within the commercial, public sector and education industries across Australia and New Zealand.

Before Asia Pacific, Jamieson also worked with the EMEA channel building programs and alliances across the business partner and distributor ecosystems.

Rounding off the new-look team is Garner, who moves across from the commercial category to take on the newly created commercial sales role across A/NZ.

Garner is tasked with working with the vendor’s key device resellers, device manufacturers and system integrators, within the modern workplace portfolio.

With Windows 10 gaining momentum in the enterprise and Windows 7 end of support due in January 2020, Garner will also be managing sales engagement with partners for Windows 10 devices in the enterprise.
