Brett Armstrong will vacate his position as general manager of sales across Australia and New Zealand at JB Hi-Fi Solutions to join Ingram Micro Australia.
Armstrong will join the distributor in October as the director of advanced solutions and he also become a member of Ingram's executive leadership team.
JB Hi-Fi Solutions was formerly known as JB Hi-Fi Commercial and Education Solutions, operating as a division of JB Hi-Fi Group.
The division provides end-to-end technology solutions to private and public businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
Armstrong joined JB Hi-Fi Solutions in January 2014, having previously worked for IT services provider Winthorp Australia for nine years.
Ingram Micro Australia has recently increased its focus on its Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), IBM and Lenovo businesses with the appointment of two executives.
Darryl Tucker, who was recently the director of consultancy firm Tux Group, has been appointed as the HPE business manager for the distributor.
Ingram also appointed Caleb Leung, who had worked for the distributor as a senior product manager from 2000 to 2005, and is now in charge of the IBM and Lenovo businesses.
