Datacom has revealed its National Network of interconnected datacentres and digital assets.
The National Network interconnects Datacom’s nine datacentres spread across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and West Australia.
The network will make almost every aspect of a customer’s IT infrastructure customisable, producing scalable solutions, in both speed and storage, reliability and security, while also catering to state data localisation laws.
It uses several third party telecommunications providers and their extensive fibre networks, giving customers a choice on selecting a dedicated connection for their data, and how that data is routed and stored.
The National Network runs from 1Mbps to 10Gbps, and will offer multiple bandwidth options with burst capabilities to accommodate peak traffic volumes.
The network incorporates Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and VMware vCloud, and also links to Datacom’s own cloud platform, Datacom Cloud Services.
“We think this is a fundamental game changer for the Australian datacentre market, and offers capabilities no one else in the market can fulfil," Datacom Systems Australia director, Glenn Scown, said.
"We guarantee availability and throughput, and with the support of public cloud vendors, it creates a robust infrastructure that can cater to any company’s need, from small business to multinational."
The National Network will continue to expand its service catalogue and will also be rolled out in New Zealand.
