Operational intelligence software company, Splunk, has been named a Select partner in EMC’s Technology Connect Partner Program.
Under this global reseller agreement, joint customers will have a simple way of purchasing EMC solutions with Splunk Enterprise, Hunk, Splunk Enterprise and Global Support, Splunk Professional Services and Splunk Education.
In addition, it enables the interoperability of Splunk Enterprise with EMC’s ScaleIO scale-out block storage, XtremIO all-flash arrays, and Isilon scale-out NAS.
Splunk global strategic alliances area vice-president, Dave Schwartz, said this move helps customers maximise the value of machine-generated data and provide innovative solution offerings beyond traditional storage models.
“Combining Splunk’s scalable architecture with flexible and agile storage, EMC can now provide a hardware and software solution stack that delivers deeper transparency into operational metrics.
“We are very excited to work with a highly respected market leader like EMC,” Schwartz said.

EMC global technology alliances managing director, Russell Barck, is also optimistic about the partnership.
