US cloud business applications company, Intermedia, has launched a datacentre in Sydney, making it the 12th facility for the company globally.
In unison with the opening of the datacentre, the vendor has partnered with security provider, Manage Protect, to provide security, collaboration and mobility offerings for local businesses, providing a platform and local support for channel partners.
Manage Protect managing director, Andrew Johnson, said the Sydney datacentre offers a technology platform and through Manage Protect's additional offerings, greater market opportunities for partners across the country.
“We're very excited to team up with Intermedia and work with its partner base," he said.
"Intermedia and Manage Protect share a common goal and commitment to Cloud technology to MSPs and resellers across Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to the opportunity to serve and grow Intermedia’s local partner base."
As per the partnership, over the next month, Intermedia's 400 trans-Tasman partners will join Manage Protect’s own 400 partner base, migrating to Manage Protect's partner program.
Intermedia senior vice-president of business development, Bob Leibholz, said the partnership will enable Australian-based 24/7 support for A/NZ resellers including local pre-sales, technical and billing support and partner management services.
In addition, Leibholz said the round-the-clock support will provide end-to-end migration assistance, local invoicing and decreased pricing across most core Exchange services with locally hosted services including Exchange 2016 for new customer accounts.
"It made perfect sense to partner with a leader like Manage Protect," Leibholz said.
"This partnership and the growth of our datacentre network serve as testament to our confidence in the Australian market.
"With 12 datacentres worldwide and over a million paid users, Intermedia is well-positioned to continue expanding our global reach while delivering premium localised support to our valued partners."
