Software AG has appointed Ana Travers as partner and alliance manager for Australia and New Zealand, as the big data and analytics vendor looks to expand its reach across the region.
As a former IBM Australia solutions channel manager, Travers will focus on creating partner growth on both sides of the Tasman, through developing the company's channel program.
"Software AG is well-known in the ICT industry for its innovative products and solutions spanning business modelling, portfolio management and streaming analytics software which are used by many medium to large Australian and New Zealand businesses," Travers said.
To achieve growth, Travers said she will work with partners to deepen the channel's understanding of the company’s products and solutions.
According to Software AG managing director A/NZ, Gordon Gakovic, Australia and New Zealand represents one of the most progressive regions that is embracing digital transformation and Cloud services.
"It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to working with Ana to help both our existing and prospective channel partners and consultants leverage the most from our solutions so that they can help our customers achieve success," he said.
Software AG senior vice president for industry solutions, Eddie McDaid told ARN, that from a global point of view, Australia is the number one country in terms of the level of focus on transforming IT operations and infrastructure in the Cloud.
"We haven't seen that level of confidence and willingness to go to the Cloud in other countries," he added.
"Our strong focus on Australia has helped us push ourselves to be more aggressive in our move to transforming our own product base to being capable of running in the Cloud and offering our customers that flexibility."
Previously, Travers was also channel manager for CA Technologies and Infor and most recently, held the role of general manager of logistics at Collective Intelligence Group.
