Samsung Electronics Australia has appointed Phillip Newton as its vice president Chief Marketing Officer.
Newton harbours more than 25 years of consumer electronics industry experience counting seven years at Samsung and working with brands such as BenQ and Mitsubishi Electric Australia.
Newton moves into the position after three years as vice president, consumer electronics where he led the growth of Samsung’s market share in key categories including TV, audio visual and IT.
In his new role, Newton will be responsible for leading the marketing communications and corporate marketing team across business divisions including audio visual, home appliances, information technology and enterprise business technology.
