Dicker Data, PowerNET, Nexus IT, Digital Sense and PSQ Group have taken top honours at the Fujitsu annual Select Partner Awards in Tokyo, Japan.

The awards were presented at the Asia Pacific Partner Conference 2015 in Tokyo on May 13, which are held each year to coincide with Fujitsu’s flagship event, Fujitsu Forum Tokyo.

The APAC conference offers Fujitsu partners an opportunity to network with peers from across APAC, along with senior executives from the Fujitsu Global business.

More than 1,500 partners from Asia and Oceania were eligible to submit nominations to this year’s APAC awards.

In a significant performance, Fujitsu’s partners in Australia were successful in each of the major categories, taking home five of the 20 awards presented at the conference.

Winners included Nexus IT, which won the Best PRIMERGY Partner, while PSQ Group won Best ETERNUS Partner.

PowerNET Solutions took home the Best Business Developer Award, Digital Sense claimed the Solution Business Leadership Award and Dicker Data won the Best Distributor gong.

Fujitsu Australia channel manager, Daniel Campbell, said it was only the third year that Australia had participated in the APAC Select Partner Conference.

"To have award winners across the spectrum shows just how far our channel business has come in that time," he said.

"We are fortunate to have such a diverse and committed partner community.

"These awards are a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise their capabilities and efforts in our region.”

Fujitsu has invested significantly in developing its channel business in Australia.

Following a relaunch of the Select Partner Program and expansion of the product range to include laptops and desktops, it has grown by more than 315 percent in the last two years.

Dicker Data, chairman and chief executive, David Dicker, said he was pleased to be named Fujitsu’s Best Distributor for 2015.

"We’re seeing strong growth in the Fujitsu portfolio and this result is a reflection of all of the hard work our team has put in,” he said.

PSQ Group director, Ben Donaldson, said the award was recognition of the work the company had put into developing a successful partnership with Fujitsu and educating customers in the quality and performance of Fujitsu Storage Products.

"We see this as just the beginning of a long and successful partnership with Fujitsu, not just in the storage product portfolio, but across all Fujitsu products and services,” he said.

PowerNET managing director, Daniel Williams, said the award affirmed the company's decision to move to Fujitsu.

"It has been a collective effort from our technical and business development team to quickly adopt the Fujitsu product range," he said.

"The support and guidance offered by the Fujitsu Channel team has been first class, they have enabled us through technical training, business support, marketing and sales support.

"At PowerNET we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship built on mutual respect and success.’

Nexus IT principal, Sean Murphy, said he was very pleased to accept the award for the company's commercial win against all comers.

Murphy said he was blown away by the breadth of innovation that Fujitsu had on display and the leadership position it was taking in IoT, retail and banking, and with software and hardware ecosystems that delivered real outcomes.

"Point products like the palm scanner for secure access were also fascinating and open new opportunities for Nexus here in Australia," he said.
