Ingram Micro has launched professional and training services to support its resellers in Australia.
Ingram Micro A/NZ vice president and managing director, Matt Sanderson, said the professional services provided would include implementation and project management, lifecycle management, configuration services including IT disposal, plus a wide range of training.
“The goal is to provide additional services that our resellers can integrate into their own businesses to extend and enhance what they currently offer to their customers.”
He said the approach allowed resellers from the smallest SMB to the largest system integrator to leverage the company's supply agreements, "so they can maximise their product and service portfolio in a way that also offers them strong profit margins, all while remaining competitively priced,” he said.
“In addition, we want to help our partners add training services to their traditional business, not only to increase their profitability, but to ensure that their customers get the most out of the solutions provided.
"We are still in the process of finalising our offerings in this area, but initially we have vendors such as IBM and Microsoft, as well as some soft skills training available.”
The core services will be progressively launched over the next few months.
Sanderson said that Ingram Micro would then look to expand and provide specialist services where there was demand.
“We’ll continue to look at the portfolio of services we have, with a view to expanding as we see new opportunities to help our partners,” he said.
