Jabra names David Piggott as its latest A/NZ managing director
Unified communications vendor, Jabra, has announced the appointment of David Piggott as its new A/NZ managing director. Piggott has replaced Soren Schonnemann, who has returned to Denmark but will continue to work in Jabra in a regional Nordic sales management role.
Based in Sydney, Piggott will be responsible for managing the company’s market presence in both the Australia and New Zealand regions, in addition to overseeing new revenue opportunities, as well as driving successful customer and partner relationships.
Jabra Asia-Pacific president, Mark Leigh, said he is confident Piggott’s knowledge and skills with customers and channels will help drive success for its audio solutions.
“He has a proven track record in sales and business development within the IT, networking and customer contact industry, and will be a real asset to Jabra as we grow our business in Australia and New Zealand," he claimed.
Piggott joins Jabra with more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, holding senior executive global roles within the sales and channel organisations at Cisco, Avaya, Telstra and Touchbase.
Most recently, Piggott worked at Cisco for four years, where he was regional manager of service provider sales. Prior to that, he worked for about three years at Avaya as global account director.
Some of his other senior roles include serving as the contact centre sales specialist with Telstra Enterprise and Government, and in business development management roles at Touchbase in both Australia and the UK.
