Dicker Data and NEXTDC have targeted the SMB Cloud market with a new partnership to provide affordable datacentre solutions.
The partnership is aimed at Dicker Data's extensive base of SMB resellers and unlocks space in NEXTDC's UTI tier three certified datacentres at an "affordable price".
It is hoped the deal will provide a way for partners to take their first steps into Cloud and colocation services.
The deal comes on the same as the Dicker Data's agreement with Lenovo to distribute the full range of System x towers servers, 1U and 2U servers, v3700 storage products and Lenovo networking.
Dicker Data chairman and chief executive, David Dicker, said the new partnership was the next step in the Cloud solution sell for the company.
"We currently hold a strong share of the server market and we're now able to give our partners a place to put that kit on a consumption basis."
NEXTDC chief executive, Craig Scroggie, said the new business relationship with Dicker Data created a unique opportunity for organisations to combine Dicker Data's specialist IT technology expertise with NEXTDC's next-generation "Datacentre-as-a-Service" in the one high-reliability, customised deployment.
"Dicker Data's commitment to simplify and drive datacentre solutions for the SMB channel is well matched by NEXTDC's own products and services," he said.
"Together, we will enable the Australian channel by offering the ideal package for anyone considering a move to public of private Cloud computing solutions colocated with their own infrastructure."
The new partnership between the two companies enables partners to purchase solution from quarter racks up to multiple full racks to ensure the service offering is scalable in line with its partners growth.
