Taiwanese-based thin client vendor, Atrust, is offering lifetime warranty across its product portfolio.
In January, Impact Systems became the Australian distributor for Atrust. The manufacturer was established in 2007 and produces thin client, zero client, server and management software. Atrust has strategic alliance partnerships with vendors such as Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, Userful and Teradici.
Impact managing director, Peter Agamalis, said it was a ground breaking offering in the market that would particularly suit resellers wanting to penetrate the thin client space.
“As the appetite for cloud computing increases, we’re expect thin clients to increase accordingly and the uptake to be substantial. During the many years I’ve been in distribution, there hasn’t been a computing device that comes with a lifetime warranty and this is a ground breaking aspect,” Agamalis said.
“It opens a new chapter for those that want to penetrate the thin client market and offer desktop-as-a-service. We’ll provide any swap out during the product lifecycle.”
Although bringing a relatively unknown brand into the Australian market does pose its own challenges, Agamalis said it has been receiving a positive uptake in the market.
“The return rate has been almost zero and we haven’t come across a reseller with anything negative to say on their experience with the product,” he said.
