Cloud Awakening has announced its new fixed asset management Cloud-based fixed asset management platform.
The platform, called Asset.Guru, is said to be designed to automate the task of tracking and managing physical assets in firms with between 10 and 1000 employees.
Cloud Awakening founder and chief executive, Chris Petersen, said the product fills an important gap in the market for SMBs searching for a way to streamline and reduce the costs associated with management of their assets.
“While there are a range of options available for large companies, they’ve tended to be too expensive and complex for SMBs. Many have had to rely on little more than documents and Excel spreadsheets to get the job done. We want to provide the capabilities of an enterprise-grade solution for SMBs,” he said.
Cloud Awakening said it consulted with a number of Australian accounting firms to determine the specific capabilities SMBs required from a fixed asset management tool. Taking what it describes as a “micro-multinational approach”, the company’s UK-based development team then created the software under direction from Australia.
“Understanding what the market requires and ensuring our software matches that requirement exactly is what we are all about,” Petersen said. “Feedback from the market has already been overwhelmingly positive – especially from bookkeepers and accountants who are confident it will add significant value to their clients businesses.”
Hosted in the Amazon Web Services Cloud, Asset.Guru is available to users via a Web browser. It is expected to be tablet ready before December.
