Parallels bolsters APAC leadership

Pavel Ershov moves to region following successful EMEA stint

Hosting and Cloud services provider, Parallels, has appointed Pavel Ershov as vice-president of its services provider business in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Ershov will drive overall sales and operations for the business segment, build strong relationships with customers and partners, and steer growth and increase market share across the region.

He will report to Parallels services provider sales and marketing senior vice-president, Mauro Meanti.

His objective is to capitalise on the small to medium (SMB) Cloud services market which, according to Parallels' SMB Cloud Insights report, hit $US10.8 billion last year, and will reach $US23.3bn in 2019 at a 29 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR).

Commenting on his appointment, Ershov said, "It is an exciting time for us to be part of the SMB Cloud ecosystem, particularly in APAC where most SMBs are looking to explore enterprise-grade and cost-efficient Cloud services to help them proper their businesses to the next level."

Ershov joins the APAC team following a successful tenure as Parallels Russia, Middle East and Africa vice-president, a role he commenced in 2011. He is credited for growing the region's revenues multiple times, as well as directly increasing the company's footprint in the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.

Prior to Parallels, Ershov spent more than 13 years at Microsoftczs in various marketing and sales roles.
