Leading distributor, Ingram Micro Australia, has been named Microsoft APAC Distributor Partner of the Year.
It was presented with the award at the APAC Partner Awards Dinner held on July 8 as part of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston.
Vice-president and managing director, Ingram Micro Australia, Matt Sanderson said, in a statement, the company was thrilled to receive the award, and put its success down to working closely with the Microsoft team and Ingram Micro’s resellers to deliver a number of innovative programs to resellers.
“The team worked really hard to understand what our reseller partners needed in order to help them grow their Microsoft business and what we needed to deliver to help them achieve that,” Sanderson said.
“We developed and ran a several highly successful education and sales enablement programs – such as our Microsoft Academy license training, Microsoft Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) programs and Cloud Advance program. These have all been extremely well attended by our reseller partners, and have proven instrumental in helping them to grow their Microsoft business,” Sanderson says.
Ingram Micro is building on this success by developing additional training, education and sales enablement programs and is continuing to offer the Microsoft Academy, Microsoft CIE and Cloud Advance programs it has already developed.
Ingram has also rolled out its own internal Microsoft training using the same training programs it offers to resellers. It's staff have completed more than 230 individual Microsoft product and licensing assessments over the last few months.
Microsoft Australia SMB sales and distribution lead, Carolyn Darke, said Ingram Micro’s innovative and focused approach has delivered a great outcome.
