Electronics vendor, Sony Mobile, has announced that the smartphone used in the latest James Bond installment, Skyfall, will be available in Australia from November 28.

The Sony Xperia XT will be available either through Vodafone on a $50 plan, or outright from Sony Centres for $629.

The device ships with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Krait MSM8260-A dual core processor.

It features a 4.6-inch HD Reality Display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of 1080p video recording, and a 720p front-facing camera.

The Xperia XT is not 4G/LTE compatible, but does have 3G+ capability. It also features, near field communication (NFC; which enables ‘one-touch’ connectivity)

The smartphone is, of course, PlayStation Certified for PlayStation Mobile gaming, contains the Walkman application, and promises 3D surround sound.

The Xperia XT is not the only Sony product to appear in the film; multiple Sony Vaio laptops are shown throughout as well. This is because Sony is a James Bond partner distributor.

Skyfall is hitting Australian cinemas tomorrow (November 22).
