Logitech expands Ultimate Ears range
Technology hardware and software provider, Logitech has extended its Ultimate Ears range with the addition of the 350 noise-isolation earphones and 350vm noise-isolation headset.
Both products are tuned with extra bass, and the headset is further equipped with on-cord controls for music and calls.
Logitech Australia general manager, Annabelle Woods, said, “People don’t want to switch earphones when they switch activities. Our new Logitech Ultimate Ears earphones and headsets take care of that by delivering versatile professional sound suitable for all audio needs.”
Both devices are compatible with an array of devices and most popular smartphones and tablets.
Additionally, the 350 and 350vm are built with durable, sweat-resistant design. Customisable ear cushions come with the products in five separate sizes.

WatchGuard’s small business security solution
Business security solutions provider, WatchGuard is targeting small businesses with its newest all-in-one, small form factor security appliance, the XTM 33.
Designed for businesses with five to 30 users, the solution offers identity-based firewalling and WatchGuard’s proxy technology. It works against malware, spyware, viruses, worms, and hackers.
Like other XTM products, it enables virtual private network (VPN) tunnels for iOS-based devices, as well as secure remote connectivity for mobile employees.
Application Control is also included, allowing users to utilise Web 2.0 apps, while increasing productivity by restricting distractions.
Additionally, the product leverages WatchGuard’s Reputation Enabled Defence service, which is a cloud-based IP and URL reputation solution that stops threats in the Cloud before they reach a network.
Real-time monitoring and secure logging is also possible with 65 report templates to give businesses a complete overview of network activity.
WatchGuard XTM 33 is distributed by Firewall Systems and WhiteGold Solutions, and is available from $899, or wireless from $999.
Sophos releases 5GHz-compatible wireless access point
Sophos, an IT security and data protection company, has unveiled its Astaro AP50 dual-band and dual-radio capable wireless access point.
The product supports both WLAN frequency bands at 2.4GHz and 5GHz to cater for specific business tasks.
It also features a gigabit Ethernet interface and support MIMO technology with two detachable antennas, offering data rates of up to 300Mbps. It is capable of supporting 50 users.
Additionally, the AP50 comes with a single port gigabit PoE-injector that powers the access point over the Ethernet cable.
Sophos product manager, Martin Becker, said, “With the proliferation of wireless networks we realised two things: first, that our customers needed a way to maintain maximum wireless network performance for a variety of different applications and second, to support more users on the wireless network. The AP50 is our answer to those requirements.”
The Astaro AP50 is centrally managed through Astaro Security gateway.
LifeSize’s UVC Platform

AMD adds to 28nm range
Chip vendor AMD has released its second graphics card based on 28nm process technology, the Radeon HD 7950 for desktop computers.
Targeted at gamers, it offers over 2.8 TFLOPs of compute power, and double the performance when two are combined with AMD CrossFire technology2.
The product is equipped with AMD Graphics Core Next Architecture, as well as AMD PowerTune and ZeroCore Power technologies.
Additionally, it delivers on the promise of DirectX 11 gaming, and features PCI Express 3.0, CrossFire technology, and the AMD HD3D technology ecosystem.
