Dicker Data is making a move into the industrial scanner and printer space through a new distribution relationship with Honeywell covering Australia and New Zealand.
The new relationship will see Dicker Data provide resellers and integrators with access to Honeywell's range of automatic identification and data capture hardware solutions such as mobile computers, scanners, printers, RFID, wearables and voice.
Dicker will also have access to the full range of Honeywell's worker productivity solutions, including mobile devices featuring the Mobility Edge platform, which helps to accelerate deployments, optimises performance, and extends product lifecycle.
Dicker Data joins Sektor, Ingram Micro and Datacol Solutions in the distribution stable across A/NZ.
Dicker Data CEO, David Dicker, said the new partnership with Honeywell marks its entrance into the industrial scanner and printer market.
“With many of our 5,000 strong reseller base already operating in this space, or on the fringes of it, we believe there is a significant opportunity ahead of us that we are now well positioned to capitalise on,” Dicker said.
"Discontinued device support can lead to mobile investments being scrapped and budget blow-outs. The Mobility Edge platform, with the longest device support roadmap on the market, will give our partners confidence that they can future-proof technology investment decisions."
The agreement will also present resellers with significant growth opportunities, particularly for deployments focused on increasing enterprise mobility performance across ruggedised environments.

Last month, Dicker Data launched a new financial services division to help address the services market shift from IT procurement to as-a-service models.
Called Dicker Data Financial Services (DDFS), it will offer by-the-month payment solutions that can be tailored to suit partners and their customers' requirements, and will be led by the general manager of the division, Drew Ritchie.
