Sydney-based specialist communications provider Essential Data and Voice (EDV) has acquired the Mitel customer base from communication and cabling provider Fast Track Communications.
The move comes as Fast Track made a decision to divest its telephone solutions business to concentrate on its cabling and audio visual units.
Specifically, the acquisition will see more than 50 customers move across to EDV as the company aims to seamlessly integrate them into their existing base, with EDV saying it was well-equipped for the move.
Three Fast Track staff will also join EDV's team as part of the deal.
“Partnering with Fast Track made sense for both companies as our number one priority is to ensure their customers are looked after and that they receive the best possible outcome,” EDV CEO David Turnbull said.
“We’ve invested in additional staff who will be joining us from the Fast Track team as part of our commitment to ensure continued business success for our customers.
"We’re very excited to work with our new customers and can’t wait to start delivering the next generation of voice and collaboration solutions to them.”
EDV, which was founded in 1991, maintains a strong customer base across a range of industries; specialising in cloud communications, voice telephony, unified communications, contact centre solutions and collaboration tools.
Customers include Sydney Trains, The Smith Family, Mortgage Choice, Rothschild, Bing Lee, Asciano and Zara.
In 2018, Mitel awarded EDV the Top Migration to the Cloud partner.
