Eaton has named its new Power Quality (PQ) national channel manager for Australia and New Zealand, with the promotion of the company’s former national strategic partnerships and alliances manager, Gavin Swadling.

Swadling, whose LinkedIn profile suggests he stepped into the new role late last year, was appointed to his prior role with the power management company in late 2016, after several years with Natural Power Solutions.

As national strategic partnerships and alliances manager at Eaton, Swadling played a major role in delivering growth strategies for Eaton’s enterprise channel and was also instrumental in launching Eaton’s Micro Data Centre and industrialised portfolio.

Swadling has also done time with Network Data Solutions, Stratus Technologies and Medtech Global.

In his new role, Swadling will be responsible for leading, managing and growing the brand, sales and operations of the Eaton PQ business in A/NZ.

Reporting to Eaton’s PQ general manager, John Atherton, Swadling will also focus on enhancing existing and prospective channel relationships at Eaton.

“Gavin has a proven track record of driving partner engagement and already has significant experience across the channel,” Atherton said.

As part of his new role, Swadling will develop Eaton’s PQ channel vision, strategy and business plan to drive business with its partners.

“I’m excited to take on this opportunity to work more closely with our channel partners,” Swadling said. “Being part of a global company that provides energy-efficient solutions to help customers effectively manage electrical hydraulic and mechanical power more safely and efficiently is in itself a tremendous opportunity.

“I’m looking forward to helping fuel the growth and success of Eaton’s channel throughout the A/NZ,” he said.
