Westcon-Comstor has reshaped its senior leadership team in Australia, resulting in three key appointments across both business divisions.
The appointment spree sees Chris Apthorpe move from his existing role as Westcon Vendor Alliances Director to take over as Comstor Vendor Alliances Director, replacing the outgoing James Mackay.
In addition, Robin Marjason returns to the business as Westcon Vendor Alliances Director, with Jeff Lombardo also appointed as the Queensland and Northern Territory Regional Account manager.
“Chris has done an exceptional job since stepping into the Westcon Vendor alliances role late last year, and I have been impressed by how Chris has made a difference with the Comstor team, as have Cisco,” Westcon-Comstor vice president and managing director of Australia and New Zealand, Dave Rosenberg, said.
“Chris did all of this while he delicately balanced his existing job of running the Westcon Vendors. I am looking forward to him taking the reins and seeing how he helps transform our Comstor business.”
Rosenberg said the three new appointments are set to grow the distributor's capabilities and programs across the region, allowing Westcon-Comstor to reach strategic and sales targets both locally and globally.
“Within our vendor and partner community Robin holds strong relationships which will see us gain some immediate traction as he begins his role and continues the good work Chris has been doing,” he added.
With over 15 years of distribution experience, Rosenberg said the appointment of Lombardo “strategically expands” the distributor’s sales team and forecasted growth in the Queensland market.
“Our aim was to hire an industry leading Account Manager and I truly believe we have hired the best candidate for the role,” Westcon-Comstor sales director, Stacy Hall, added.
“Jeff adds another layer of strength to our sales team. His strong reputation in the IT industry, especially in the Queensland market are a direct result of the hard work he has put in over the years.
“We look forward to having Jeff join our sales management team and to continue to offer the best engagement and service to our customers in Queensland.
Looking ahead, Lombardo he will be working closely with the team to plan programs that align with Westcon-Comstor’s overall company goals and objectives.
