New Zealand-based technology distributor and managed services provider, Datacom, picked up two awards at Intel Security’s annual Partner Summit held in Bangkok.

The company was awarded Intel Security’s Managed Services Provider of the Year A/NZ and Managed Services Provider Partner for APAC.

According to Intel Security director MSP and Cloud APAC, Joel Camissar, the vendor’s MSP security portfolio continues to be a crucial part of Datacom’s solution set.

“This award comes on the back of a strategic long term investment by Datacom dating back several years to build a range of services on the Intel Security platform. Well done,” he said.

Camissar noted that Datacom has proved success in a ‘complex exercise’ by winning and growing new business whilst continuing to develop service level agreements (SLAs) and operating practices.

According to Camissar, Datacom’s significant investment in training, far surpassing any other Intel Security Partner, has paid off with the win.

“We have a long and storied relationship with Intel Security and it’s great to see our security teams across A/NZ being rewarded for their innovative work in a rapidly changing market. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Intel Security, serving our future customers with the same solutions that helped us win here today,” Datacom group chief executive, Jonathan Ladd, said.

Datacom’s security operations centre capabilities run across two locations in New Zealand, which offer services like security analytics and threat visibility across Telecommunications-as-a-Service (TaaS) for multiple public and private sector clients.
