Cyber-security company, Webroot, has entered into a strategic partnership with Greater Intell, provider of software products and professional services for IT management platforms.
The collaboration has resulted in a new solution that integrates the Cloud-driven Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection into the Kaseya VSA platform.
The Cloud-based management console looks to allow enterprises and managed service providers (MSP) to deliver next-generation endpoint security in one solution.
It requires no on-premises servers and endpoints can be managed remotely from any location. It also features Webroot journaling and rollback remediation capabilities.
In support of the integration, Greater Intell has designed a customised plug-in available as a single executable.
“Webroot’s new partnership with Greater Intell will go a long way to address the growing demand for next generation endpoint security here in Australia today,” Webroot Asia-Pacific managing director, Robbie Upcroft, said.
“As we know, cybercrime is on the rise in Australia and businesses, big and small, could be doing more to protect themselves. According to Webroot’s latest SMB threat intelligence report, 45 per cent of SMBs in Australia are not confident in their endpoint security system – leaving themselves wide open to increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks such as phishing scams and zero-day attacks,” he added.
“We know that endpoint security has traditionally come with issues, such as poor efficacy, poor remediation and higher operational costs. But by integrating Webroot’s SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection with the Kaseya VSA platform, through this new partnership with Greater Intell, we can now provide the Kaseya community, MSPs and SMBs, with a single, effective offer,” Upcroft continued.
