Mobile mesh technology for private wireless networks company, Rajant, has inked a strategic partnership with Ingram Micro company, Connector Systems. As per the deal, Connector Systems will distribute Rajant’s solutions in the A/NZ region.
Rajant makes mobile, scalable and kinetic wireless mesh technology, which aims to provide an always connected communications network so critical applications can be accessed in real-time.
Connector Systems, which was acquired by Ingram Micro earlier this year, will target telecommunications, municipalities, utilities, transportation, mining and other industrial sectors with Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh networks.
Connector Systems Australia country manager, Andrew Craze, said Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh platform aligns with the distributor’s strategy of bringing disruptive technologies to market to help organisations build on their wireless and Wi-Fi product and service offerings.
“Rajant’s BreadCrumb access points are really in a class of their own, and their kinetic mesh networking technology is designed from the ground up to offer unparalleled connectivity for those industries that require rock solid infrastructure”, Craze said.
"I reached out to Rajant and spoke with their channels director about their plans for this part of the world almost six months ago. A couple of our existing partners already buy Rajant, and had spoken very highly of the brand. It is a perfect fit for our Wireless and Wi-Fi business unit."
According to Craze, the partnership complements its existing Wireless and Wi-Fi business unit as it gives the company a more complete story to take to its Ruckus Wireless and Cambium Networks partners.
"More broadly, it allows us to sell into non-traditional IT&T resellers – businesses that are vertically aligned (eg: resellers that service mining, oil and gas, exploration, emergency services, metro transport, and ports and municipal control systems)," he said.
He added that wireless service providers, vertically-aligned integrators, telcos, and any reseller looking to broaden their existing wireless or Wi-Fi business will benefit the most from it.
"Rajant’s approach is to work with partners that offer true value to their end users, and their go-to-market strategy involves maintaining value for existing partners. Rajant is great fit for Connector Systems."
Rajant senior vice-president of sales and marketing, Kirk Byles, said Connector Systems fulfills its objective as an in-region stocking distributor.
“Our partnership with Connector Systems underscores our commitment to drive the market-leading advances of our wireless networking technology to regions that have yet to take full advantage and furthers our reach as a global player,” he said.
