Schneider Electric employees’ participate in BurnSafe Program
Employees from Schneider Electric Australia recently took a break from their day jobs to pack show bags with educational material for the Julian Burton Burns Trust BurnSafe Schools Program.
Schneider Electric has had a partnership with the Burns Trust for several years, and the company said its bag packing day has become a tradition.
The BurnSafe Program is run by the Julian Burton Burns Trust and is a free program for South Australian schools, providing education on burn prevention. The program has been running since 2007, and this year Schneider Electric employees packed a total of 7000 bags.
The education bags are a vital part of the BurnSafe program as it extends the reach of the schools program’s impact.
According to Clipsal by Schneider Electric director of marketing, Chris Quinn, packing 7000 bags in one day saves around 200 resource hours (about five weeks). Primary school kids and their families will be receiving these bags over the next eight months.
“Our employees enjoyed the opportunity to support this cause and we were pleased to see people from all sectors of the business, including executives and manufacturing employees, take part on the day,” Clipsal by Schneider Electric director of marketing, Chris Quinn, said.
In additional support for the BurnSafe Program, $0.50 from every Clipsal Smoke Alarm purchased goes towards helping alleviate the pain and suffering of burns victims across Australia. Clipsal by Schneider Electric has recently resigned this agreement for another four years.
