Centrify launches global channel partner awards

Network Professional Services claims honours in A/NZ

Unified identity management company, Centrify, has launched its channel partner network awards program.

The firm introduced the program by naming its top performing channel partners across the globe.

Melbourne-based reseller, Network Professional Services (NPS), took out the A/NZ partner of the year award.

NPS has a large portion of its client base running on Linux or UNIX platforms. One of the reasons it was chosen for the award is that it operates comfortably on both platforms.

NPS director, David Malcolm, said adding Centrify to the firm’s suite of offerings really strengthened its capability in the space.

“Centrify has been a central plank to the business. One of the keys to running a successful IT consultancy business is to identify which products are important and which products the market is going to need.”

Malcolm explained that identity management and authentication management have become crucial to the operations of many businesses.

“It is important for a number of reasons. Firstly, organisations have a problem with password sprawl. People dreaming up simple passwords and using post-it notes on their computers to remember them. There are other issues where people may have upwards of thirty passwords and can’t remember them, they then have all sorts of problems with productivity.

“The other part of the business is that Active Directory [AD] has become the defacto standard for authentication and authorisation.

“What Centrify really does is take non-active directory devices like Linux computers, UNIX computers, Mac OS X laptops, iPhones, Samsung phones to name a few and put them into the corporate active directory Cloud.

“This gives complete control over those devices as you would have on a Windows PC inside a corporate network.

“We have certainly seen a lot of success with this kind of technology being picked up by a broad church of customers, from the media, power companies, educational institutions and retail organisations.”

“For our business, being a Centrify partner means that we can offer the product and also the professional services that go around it and other professional services that are required with AD, Linux and UNIX. It’s been a real boost for our business.”

Centrify channel chief, Nathan Adams, said the purpose of the awards was to show the firm’s appreciation for the ongoing commitment its channel partners demonstrate around the globe.

“It’s an honour to have the opportunity to publicly recognise our committed partners as leaders in the channel partner community.”

“They are demonstrating proven success in partnering with Centrify and our Centrify channel partner program, helping stake out a clear leadership position for the company in the unified identity management sector.”

Centrify named Corus360 its first North American partner of the year.

In Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA), Endersys Turkey was named partner of the year.

The top gong in Latin America went to EZ-Security from Brasil.
