Integrated solutions and managed services company, Konica Minolta Australia, has included two IT services companies – Knowledge Partners and Stonebridge Systems – into its banner as a result of the purchase of these companies.

The acquisition of Knowledge Partners and Stonebridge Systems happens to be part of the local execution of Konica Minolta Australia’s global transform strategy for 2016, shifting its focus from providing products to services and solutions.

The company said that it went ahead with these acquisitions as there was a need to diversify and be ahead of the transformations occurring in the industry. By procuring these companies, Konica Minolta Australia will have a greater foothold in the enterprise content management and digital solutions space.

Konica Minolta managing director, David Cooke, said the acquisitions will also broaden the scope of its integrated print and content management solutions, keeping it consistent with the company’s global philosophy of creating new value.

“In Australia, our mission is to help our customers grow their business and now to deliver enterprise content management and Web content management solutions. The acquisition of Stonebridge Systems and Knowledge Partners adds to our capabilities to deliver on this mission,” he said.

Knowledge Partners director, Carl Lindemann, claimed the integration of the company into Konica Minolta will underpin its future business performance through the combining of complementary resources.

“The expanded market reach through Konica Minolta’s large customer base and sales network can only strengthen the joint strategic business expansion in the ECM space,” he mentioned.

Stonebridge Systems founder, Craig Broadbent, found the deal mutually beneficial as it claims to be aligned to Konica Minolta culturally and according to its values.

“For our clients the acquisition means lifting the conversation from tactical to strategic collaboration, deepening our value and helping them achieve their business goals. We’ll also be able to help steer clients of Konica Minolta through the fast-changing marketing technology landscape, freeing them to focus on their core business and customers.”
