Polycom, has appointed former Citrix director, Shirish Joshi, to lead its APAC channel.
As APAC channel sales director, Joshi will be responsible for executing channel programs across the region, driving business for Polycom partners, and strengthening go-to-market and distribution strategy.
He joins Polycom from Citrix Systems where he was the Channels and Alliances Director for the ASEAN region.
In this role, he held responsibility for building and managing the partner ecosystem for several business areas such as enterprise mobility, cloud services, and desktop & application virtualisation.
Joshi has previously held various leadership roles for Cisco Systems from 1996-2011, where he managed regional channel sales teams that met annual targets in excess of $700 million across the region.
Polycom Asia Pacific president, Geoff Thomas, said building a world-class channel was a key priority for Polycom.

Originally from India and resident in Singapore since 2005, Joshi holds an MBA in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering.
