ATechnology takes on Rackspace in Stevies

Aussie company nominated as a finalist in ninth annual Stevie Awards

Australian services and solutions company, ATechnology, is taking on larger rival Rackspace in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service.

The company has been named as a finalist in the Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Services and Business Development Achievement of the Year - Technology Industries categories in the ninth annual Stevie Awards.

The awards are presented by the Stevie Awards, which organises several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious International Business Awards and the new German Stevie Awards.

The final results will be announced during a gala banquet on Friday, February 27, at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

ATechnology managing director, Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann, said she was delighted to be recognised as a finalist for two categories in the prestigious Awards.

“ATech is competing with US company Rackspace for Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Services, so we would appreciate the support from as many people as possible.

Peterschlingmann said ATech was committed to giving better service than customers expected.

"Our company culture focuses on the importance of excellent customer experience," she said.

"This is ingrained in each employee starting from the first job interview, and reinforced during weekly training sessions.

She said many people expected to wait days to hear from IT providers.

"When clients first join ATech, they can't believe how rapidly their problems are successfully resolved."

Ms Peterschlingman said all company directors were notified of each support ticket that was not responded to within 15 minutes. So customers always receive a fast response.

"ATech’s helpdesk is based in Australia, not offshore. Our local customers appreciate that we are 100 per cent Australian owned and operated," she said.

ATech was nominated for the Business Development Achievement of the Year - Technology Industries category for its increased annual revenue of nearly 80 percent year on year, while maintaining a strong profit margin.

Peterschlingmann said, in June 2014, she increased ATech’s Cloud capacity tenfold.

"Since then I have tripled the capacity again," she said.

“In the past year, I more than doubled the number ATech staff.

More than 1900 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year’s competition.

Finalists were determined by the average scores of 139 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges.
