Westcon Group has promoted David Hook to sales director for Australia, effective November 1.
The elevation comes six years into Hook’s tenure with the distributor during which he has occupied numerous sales, sales management and general business management roles within Westcon New Zealand.
In March 2012, he took on the role of national sales manager for NZ, and was appointed general manager of sales for the nation within the year.
Westcon credits Hook for his strong track record in partner development over the past two years, and stated his experience in Cloud, SAP and leadership will prove beneficial to the existing leadership of the business in Australia.
“David’s appointment to this role recognises success and high performance that will serve to strengthen Westcon’s plans for the future, helping to deliver the Group’s sales priorities and strong results for the Australian business,” Westcon A/NZ managing director, Dave Rosenberg, said.
Hook will work from Westcon’s Sydney office after relocating with his family to Australia.
Before Westcon, Hook worked for Datastor between September 2008 and March 2012, preceded by a four-year stint with Provenco.
