Intelligent Retail has released its multi-channel retail solution, Connect, in Australia.
The software package is targeted at small independent retailers, enabling them to run their business across multiple sales channels, as well as managing all aspects of both POS and ecommerce, from a single interface.
Intelligent Retail international operations head, Daniel Sheahan, said today’s competitive retail market requires a multi-channel approach.
“Independent retailers need to be able to meet the changing buying habits of their customers in order to survive,” he said.
Exploring other channels
The multi-channel environment has typically been the domain of retailers with large budgets and resources, though Connect aims to expand the market horizons of retailers of all sizes using the Internet.
“Local stores can compete with the majors by combining multi-channel sales with their more appealing in-store customer experience with little or no additional management overheads,” Sheahan said.
To enable smaller retailers to rapidly develop web channels, Connect has been designed to interface with leading online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon.
The UK-based developer was recently acquired by Australian based international software company 3Q Holdings.
