Analytics platform vendor Tableau has unveiled a new global partner program which it will roll out in phases over the next 12 months.

The Tableau Partner Network will streamline the current set-up of reseller, technology, OEM and alliance partner tracks down to just reseller, technology and services.

Beginning in the first half of 2020, the announcement comes just three months after Salesforce snapped up Tableau in a US$15.7 billion deal.

According to Tableau, the Partner Network will introduce new requirements to certify “deep partner expertise” across major areas.

The vendor also claimed it will provide ongoing training, guidance and resources to help partners transition to the new program, plus new new self-service capabilities.

“This program revamp highlights Tableau’s continued investment in its global partner community, and further signals Tableau’s commitment to ensuring its partner ecosystem addresses customer needs with quality in the rapidly expanding data and analytics market,” the vendor said in a statement.

“From interest and solution design to implementation and usage, the Tableau Partner Network ensures partners are supported with the right resources to help ensure customer success.”

The news also follows the departure of Tableau’s Australia and New Zealand boss, Nigel Mendonca, which took place shortly after the Salesforce acquisition.

ARN understands Mendonca has not been replaced and the A/NZ region is currently being led from Tableau’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
