Software vendor Board International has appointed Paul Miles as channel partner operations manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Melbourne, Miles will be tasked with overseeing Board’s A/NZ partner ecosystem, recruiting new partners and managing enablement.

Miles replaces Stefano Giordano, who has moved on from Board to become partner account director at Jedox A/NZ.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Board provides decision-making software platforms that bring together business intelligence, performance management and analytics. It has three offices in Australia, across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Miles was previously the partner program manager for CA Technologies across Asia Pacific and Japan, a Melbourne-based role he held for four years until December 2018.

Prior to leading APJ, he was the company’s global channel partner program manager based in New York, where he launched the company’s first cloud-based partner relationship management system and created a market development funds program for managed service providers (MSPs).

He left CA in December last year, a month after the company reportedly began laying off between “60-70 per cent” of Australian-based staff.

Before joining CA in 2007, Miles was the product marketing manager at MathMarketing, now align.me, and also worked at Bourse Data, OzEmail and OptiSoft in senior product and marketing management roles.

“I am thrilled to join Board at this turning point of the region’s digital transformation and play a critical role in driving channel success,” he said.

“By leveraging Board’s unique point-of-view on business performance management and analytics, we are in pole position to empower businesses here in moving smarter and faster. I am excited to work closely with our partner ecosystem to help them deliver the competitive edge they need to stay ahead of the game.”

Board also appointed Marlon Herft as regional sales manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

He was was previously A/NZ regional vice president for sales at SumTotal Systems where he led customer acquisition and supported channel partner growth.
