ASX-listed telco provider Amaysim Australia has updated its wholesale network services agreement with Optus signed when the company launched in 2010.

Amaysim said that the updated deal, which runs until 30 June 2022, will support its strategy and growth ambitions.

Specifically, Amaysim will change the way it acquires data inclusions and network services from Optus, which in result will enable rapid product deployment, the development of innovative new features and services and an "even greater" level of flexibility and competitiveness.

"Our strategic partnership with Amaysim is indicative of Optus’ ability to attract and work with high quality wholesale customers who can leverage our premium national mobile network,” said Ben White, managing director, business and wholesale at Optus.

Established in 2010, Amaysim listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in July 2015. The telco uses Optus 4G network for its services and claims to have more than 1 million mobile customers.

In July 2016, it entered the broadband market through the $4 million acquisition of Australian Broadband Services (AusBBS), $1 million more than the telco is getting for selling the business now.
