Comments

Kyle Bunting has vacated his role of head of channel, alliances and dealers at TPG Telecom in April, he confirmed to ARN.

Bunting joined TPG in 2015 with the responsibility to manage and grow both TPG and AAPT channel sales business in the country.

He told ARN he is currently looking for new opportunities in the Australian channel.

He was also in charge of alliance, wholesale and dealer partners, as well as of leading the channel team.

Before joining TPG, Bunting had worked for Dell for 12 years and was lastly the cloud services director, cloud services Asia Pacific.

In that role he was responsible for managing the global expansion of Dell's public cloud strategy into Asia Pacific.

TPG has declined to comment.

In August 2018, TPG and Vodafone confirmed the telcos were in discussions regarding a potential "merger of equals". A review was then launched by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to asses the impact the proposed merger would have on the telecommunications market in Australia.

The ACCC has recently announced its decision to oppose to the proposed merger.

Vodafone and TPG have since filed a legal action in order to proceed with the merger. A statement of claim filed with the Federal Court of Australia stated that Vodafone shareholders have never been paid a dividend and if the acquisition does not go through, "VHA is unlikely to be in a position to pay a dividend" in five years, if ever.
